Escher in Het Paleis is located in Paleis Lange Voorhout, the former winter palace of Queen Mother Emma. The museum is entirely devoted to the art of M.C. Escher (1898-1972). It houses approximately 130 works by this Dutch graphic artist. Escher captivates both young and old with his remarkable world. The palace displays his famous 'impossible' representations such as Day and Night and Ascending and Descending. The highlight and centerpiece of the exhibition is the 7-meter-long Metamorphosis III.
