Museum Anno is dedicated to the cultural history and art of Zwolle and its surrounding region. The museum comprises an old section, the former 16th-century Drostenhuis, and a new building from 1997. The collection includes paintings by 17th-century masters, cultural-historical objects, silverware and prints. It holds approximately six hundred paintings, mainly by Zwolle artists or depicting Zwolle subjects. Museum Anno tells the stories of Zwolle. Museum, archaeology, architectural history, monuments and archives come together in one place under one name. It is the house of, for and by Zwollenaren and visitors to the city. It is the ideal starting point to get to know Zwolle better.
